J.W. Wallis, DVM

Chief of Staff

Dr. P.J. (Jack) Wall founded Gwinnett Animal Clinic in 1966 and later hired a local
middle school student to help out in the kennels after school and on weekends. This student developed a profound interest in veterinary medicine under Dr. Wall's guidance and encouragement and continued working at Gwinnett Animal Clinic until graduating from high school in 1973. After receiving both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Food Science and Technology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. J.W. Wallis returned to Gwinnett Animal Clinic as an associate veterinarian in 1983.

Dr. Wallis' vet med interests include general and orthopedic surgery as well as internal medicine and small animal reproductive medicine. In the same spirit of playing forward what Dr. Wall afforded to him back in his middle school days, Dr. Wallis loves mentoring students of all ages who express an interest in the field of veterinary medicine.

When not at the office, Dr. Wallis enjoys traveling and spending time with his family (including 10 grandchildren), volunteering and mentoring vet students on mission trips with Christian Veterinary Mission, woodcarving, or just "relaxing" while on his lawnmower. Saturdays in the Fall are reserved for attending UGA football games! GO DAWGS!
